Matt and Staci Lambert took over ownership of Discount Wheel & Tire, 801 N. Commerce St., on March 1.
Staci said they are excited to be moving here from Paris, Texas, and intend to be known for providing outstanding customer service.
The Lamberts, who met in the eighth grade, were born and raised in Paris. Malt has always had a love for the automotive industry, and Staci said she was "raised" in a Discount Wheel & Tire store that was started by her father. The couple married after college and jumped at the opportunity to have their own store.
Discount Wheel & Tire began with other family members more than 30 years ago in Texas, The business has multiple locations all over northeast Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.
Discount Wheel & Tire supplies the obvious like tires, brakes, struts and alignments and also mounts, balances and rotates tires. They also specialize in aftermarket customization, lifts, wheels, leveling kits, lowering kits, etc.
"We specialize in finding the right tires for our customers," Staci said. "We offer a broader inventory and have the ability to choose from multiple warehouses for our Michelin, BFGoodrich and Uniroyal tires."
Discount Wheel & Tire has four skilled tire employees, brothers James Flynn and John Flynn, B.J. Hayes and Roberto Trevino; two ASE-certified mechanics, Jason Martin and Jason Williamson; salesman Cliff Koss; and owners Matt and Staci Lambert, who are also in sales.
"We really want to bring more interest and fun to this industry by doing more than just tires,” Staci said. "Anyone can have the ability lo personalize their vehicle with wheels or big mud tires. Your vehicle doesn't have to be boring."
Staci said if you love mudding and hunting or want the street slick look, they are there to help.
"We never slack on our primary goal, which is to get the customer back on the road and driving safely," she said. "Rotate you tires and get new ones before you have a dreaded blowout."
