We offer baccalaureate programs in Accounting, Biology, Business, Childhood Education, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, English, Environmental Science, Liberal Studies, Mathematics, Nursing, Psychology, Public Administration, Religious Studies, Social Work, Special Education & Early Childhood Education, and Special Education & Childhood Education. Associate degrees are also offered in many of these disciplines; and we place emphasis on the articulation between our two-year and the four year programs.

Our student scholars have received prestigious internships at institutions such as Yale Medical School and the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, have attained first place in prestigious national case competitions, and have presented original research at conferences across the globe. They include students such as Omar Gardner, who recently landed the International Chemistry Research Experience for Students internship in Vietnam, and Michael Smith, the recipient of a $4.400 Wal-Mart Foundation / Thurgood Marshall College Fund First Generation Scholarship and a $4,400 Department of Defense Scholarship.

Our graduates go on to bright careers in the business, medical, political arenas, amongst many others. Alumnus Antoine Faye (Class of 2010) was recently appointed as the Special Advisor for Renewable Energy and International Affairs to President Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal; and alumna Natalie Leary (Class of 2011), the recipient of a $10,000 dollar award from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.

Our faculty corps includes some of the best and brightest in academia - Fulbright scholars, award-winning authors, and respected researchers, such as: Dr. Mohsin Patwary, Professor of Biology and Dean of the School of Science, Health and Technology, who received a Fulbright to help develop Molecular Biology and Biotechnology curricula at Gulu University, Uganda; Dr Natasha Maria Gordon-Chipembere, Assistant Professor of English, who taught African Diasporic Women's Literature through the Fulbright Scholar Exchange Fellowship al the University of Malawi; Dr, Shermane Austin, professor in the Department of Physical, Environmental, and Computer Sciences, who received a NASA/ New York Slate Space Grant Consortium Affiliate Award of $20,000 per annum from 2011 to 2016; Dr. Charles desBordes, Biology Professor, who was awarded the 2011 Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship; and acclaimed children's book author and English Instructor Tonya Hegamin, who won the 2012 "Sunshine" State Young Reader's Award, for her teen novella, Pemba's Song: A Ghost Story.

We are working to provide students with a world-class campus. We opened Academic Building I - a $247 million dollar, state-of-the-art complex that houses our School of Science, Health and Technology, cutting-edge research labs, and dining and meeting fad kit's. Additionally, we recently opened a new student lounge, completed a $3.2 million dollar renovation of our campus swimming pool and are slated to begin an $18.3 million dollar library expansion next year.
